Blake has over 12 years of extensive structural engineering experience within the Telecommunications Industry, where in his past roles of Structural Engineer III and Engineering Manager, he performed numerous structural analyses, designed modifications for tower reinforcing, extensions and foundations while providing direction and training to junior engineers. With a deep belief of “you’re only as good as your team”, Blake enjoys taking a proactive approach towards developing and mentoring his team through the use of his developed metrics and systems for improved workflow and processes that aid in the development of junior structural engineers. This approach has proven Blake to be a tremendous asset in his role at Delta Oaks Group.
At Delta Oaks
Blake is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Structural Department’s day-to-day operations, including the development of operational processes to improve production efficiency and achieve greater technical accuracy and quality of deliverables. A passionate and driven leader, Blake has an uncanny ability of bringing out the best in those he leads through his thoughtful and data-driven approach.
Education and Certifications
Blake holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). He holds a Professional Engineering license in 8 states.
Personal
An avid traveler, Blake loves spending time with his wife, Ellese, and their pup, Violet, outdoors at the beach or mountains, or planning their next trip abroad.
