With more than 15 years of industry experience in Structural and Civil engineering with a focus on the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures, telecommunication site design, and land planning and development, Shu brings the knowledge and insight needed to manage a large variety of unique and challenging projects effectively and strategically as he leads his team to develop creative solutions to solve complex problems for the client. Through his technical expertise, Shu has established himself within the industry as a trustworthy and proven professional who collaborates with clients and colleagues to deliver projects under budget, on schedule and of a quality that exceeds the clients’ expectations. Prior to joining Delta Oaks Group in 2022, Shu served as the Sr. Director of Engineering Operations where he led numerous notable projects in wireless telecommunication site design, as well as in real estate and construction site development/redevelopment.

Shu is responsible for the continued development and expansion of the Company’s AE, Civil and Environmental engineering capabilities. His devotion to the mentoring and development of our junior engineers in combination with his multi-faceted industry experience, technical acumen, and leadership, has made Shu an invaluable leader at Delta Oaks Group in helping to shape our next generation of engineers and lead Delta Oaks Group in its next phase of growth. What attracted him to Delta Oaks Group were the core values of servant leadership and hard work exhibited by the Owners. He enjoys working for a company that believes in investing in their people and building a relationship of trust between employees and the clients they serve.

Education and Certifications

Shu holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Shu has also served as Co-President of the Harvard Business School Partner’s Club and Treasurer of the American Society of Civil Engineers Met Section where he had the opportunity to support, mentor and represent young civil engineers. He holds Professional Engineering licenses in 9 states, as well as LEED AP BD+C credentials.


Born in Osaka, Japan, Shu now calls Newton, Massachusetts home with his wife and their three beautiful children. A sports enthusiast, Shu enjoys a wide variety of sports: basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and rugby while playing basketball, soccer, and water polo in college.
