The selected individual will be responsible for leading various civil-site engineering and site planning tasks, including but not limited to jurisdictional zoning code research and interpretation, spatial infrastructure layout, grading plans, roadway plan and profile, utility layout and coordination, and erosion control typically associated with telecommunication, renewable energy, and small commercial (data center, fiber huts, etc.) site development plans. The ability to manage multiple projects from feasibility assessment through the issuance of a building permit, including correspondence with subcontractors, governing agencies, and client representatives is required. 

The selected candidate will be expected to lead projects from scoping to completion, including but not limited to: 

  • Completing spatial layout of telecommunication, renewable energy, and small commercial facilities based on governing municipality zoning requirements.
  • Completing and optimizing design of facilities from an earthwork, drainage, spatial, construction feasibility, and cost-efficiency perspective.
  • Performing design tasks including roadway plan / profile, grading, erosion control, and permitting.

The successful candidate will drive site identification, landowner engagement, and lease negotiation efforts, ensuring timely delivery of land rights and easements. Ideal applicants will have hands-on experience securing ground leases, option agreements, and permits, combined with strong interpersonal skills and a thorough understanding of real-estate due diligence and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of land acquisition workflows, property-owner negotiations, and site feasibility assessments. The individual will be responsible for directing the field execution of construction projects and managing a crew of field personnel for the Construction and Maintenance Department in the telecommunications vertical. This position requires a minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience as a crew foreman in the telecommunications construction field.


The Foreman will be required to manage the day-to-day aspects of construction projects and field crews. Positional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Thorough understanding of and ability to safely direct field crews and perform ground and aerial construction work for telecommunication structures

Tower Infrastructure Inspector

Delta Oaks Group is seeking individuals to perform tower and foundation inspection services in the telecommunication vertical. These services include but are not limited to various tower structural, maintenance, construction and foundation inspections. Career and/or educational experience associated with gathering telecommunication structure field data and the inspection methodology required to obtain such data is a plus.

This position is responsible for gathering structural field data for telecommunication structures under the direction of the Compliance Manager and Director. The selected individual(s) will be required to perform inspections as a part of a two-person crew with little supervision. Anticipated tasks include but are not limited to:

      • Ascending telecommunication structures (typically ranging from 10 feet to in-excess of 300 feet of height) to perform structural mappings, maintenance inspections and construction inspections
      • Performing foundation investigations for buried concrete elements to include non-destructive testing, physical probing, hand augering and hand excavation
      • Successfully complete and maintain the required training and certifications to adhere to all government, industry and company standards; including all applicable safety requirements
      • Developing a working knowledge and thorough familiarity with codes and standards relating to telecommunication structures, including TIA/EIA-222 requirements
      • Adhere to all government, industry and safety standards and procedures
      • Ability to work in two-person teams independently with limited supervision
      • Prepare drawings and field sketches

Geotechnical Engineer I

Delta Oaks Group is seeking an individual to perform various geotechnical engineering services, as part of our Geotechnical Engineering Department located in Raleigh, NC. These services include but are not limited to various technical evaluations as well as project management/administrative support services associated with the practice of geotechnical engineering. This position will require zero (0) to seven (7) years of experience within the geotechnical or similar engineering field. Experience with deep and shallow foundations, laboratory soil analyses, and technical reports issuance with limited supervision is a plus.

Under the supervision of senior engineering professionals, the selected individual will be expected to apply strong analytical skills in areas of geotechnical engineering across multiple markets, including the commercial and telecommunications industries. Anticipated tasks include but are not limited to:

    • Soil and rock classification, soil laboratory testing and analysis
    • Technical analyses of earth retention systems
    • Technical analyses of shallow, deep, and specialized foundations
    • Report and supporting document preparation and compilation (for all technical analyses)
