Career

With a career spanning more than 23 years, Cory has utilized his management and technical expertise leading project work in the engineering inspections, geotechnical, construction material testing, environmental, and civil engineering fields. Additionally, his leadership and industry knowledge has played a vital role in the development, re-development, and expansion of multiple departments at large engineering firms in the telecommunication industry. At Delta Oaks Group, his technical areas of focus are primarily related to geotechnical evaluations, forensic foundation investigations, Below-Grade Inspections, and construction materials testing, but he continues to utilize his diverse professional experience to lead and consult on multiple turnkey projects.

At Delta Oaks

As Executive Vice President at Delta Oaks Group, Cory is steadfastly devoted to ensuring Delta Oaks exceeds the client’s expectations of quality, communication, and responsiveness. He holds himself and his teams to the highest standard and instills a client-first mindset built around values of honesty, determination, and reliability. Cory expects his team to share the client’s vision of success and to work collaboratively with the client to bring their vision to fruition. His personal drive for performance, excellence and never accepting the status quo is what inspired him to create Delta Oaks Group with his business partners Joe and Rhett. His ability to look ahead, anticipate the client’s needs and improve upon systems to ensure those needs are met, is what sets Cory apart. In addition to his role as Executive Vice President, Cory oversees the Inspections and Construction Services Department, serving as the technical lead for Below-Grade Inspections. In this role, he is responsible for leading, developing and implementing all protocols and procedures of inspection-related production services.

Education and Certifications

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geo-Environmental Engineering from Penn State University. Cory holds certifications with American Concrete Institute, F.A.C.E. Floor Flatness, the Washington Area Council of Engineering Laboratories, Virginia DOT, and North Carolina DOT. Cory also serves on National Wireless Safety Alliance’s Written Examination Management Committee.

Personal

In his spare time, Cory enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Amanda, and their teenage daughter. If he is not working on his latest home improvement project, he is often found on the green perfecting his golf game or volunteering his time with dog rescue organizations.
