Career

Rhett’s career spans more than 20 years of technical, operational, and business leadership for diverse engineering projects encompassing telecommunications, site design, water resources, and roadway drainage while specializing in civil, A&E, stormwater, and riverine hydraulics projects.  Prior to Delta Oaks Group, Rhett held a variety of leadership roles, including serving as Vice President of a major engineering firm, where he managed several diverse technical divisions.  His teams were responsible for performing Rawland Telecommunications Site Development; Collocation and Amendment Telecommunication Site Upgrades, Geotechnical Investigations, Dam and Spillway Evaluations; Scour Analyses and Stormwater Modeling and Improvements.  His passion for understanding the client’s specific needs and strategizing to meet those needs has led him to develop numerous comprehensive workflow processes, tools, and systems for his employees and colleagues that has resulted in efficient and quality design procedures that serve both the client’s and public’s best interests.

At Delta Oaks

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Rhett is dedicated to working with his executive team and partners to lead the development and implementation of strategic frameworks to build stronger teams, drive organizational transformation, and perfect product operational processes in order to provide more comprehensive client-specific services that continue to evolve with the client to ensure Delta Oaks’ services consistently exceeds expectations.  Rhett’s desire to build a company centered around his inherent values of honesty, respect, and client responsiveness is what prompted him to take a risk and join Delta Oaks Group with his two business partners, Cory and Joe.

Education and Certifications

Rhett holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biosystems Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from Clemson University and holds a Master’s in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in 15 states, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and holds professional certifications related to Erosion and Sediment Control, Stormwater, and Stormwater BMP Inspection and Maintenance.

Personal

Rhett is passionate about the outdoors and is an avid snow and wake boarder.  When he is away from the office, he and his lovely wife, Anne, enjoy entertaining friends and family at their lake house and supporting his alma mater’s, C-L-E-M-S-O-N, football team.
